Pineapple Margarita Ingredients
Tequila – Silver or gold tequila is traditionally used in margaritas but feel free to use any type of tequila with this recipe.
Lime Juice – You can’t make margaritas without fresh squeezed lime juice.
Kosher Salt or Sugar – Some might say this is optional but I LOVE lots of salt with my margaritas. Use either salt or sugar to rim your glass.
Pineapple Chunks – I used fresh pineapple but feel free to use canned. Your cocktail will still taste amazing. Also, use frozen pineapple chunks instead of ice when serving.
Pineapple Juice – Juice is used in place of agave or simple syrup in this cocktail to sweeten it.
How to Make a Pineapple Margarita
First, add salt and lime zest to shallow dish. Rub each glass with a lime wedge and dip in salt mixture. If you aren’t a fan of salt, feel free to use sugar instead.
How Do you make a Frozen Pineapple Margarita?
Prefer frozen margaritas? The key to frozen cocktails is to use frozen fruit. So, all you have to do to make this a frozen margarita is freeze the pineapple chunks ahead of time. Then, just add frozen pineapple, tequila, lime juice, pineapple juice and 1/2 cup of ice to blender. Blend for about 1 minute until completely mixed and no large chunks remain.
