Hi, I’m Kara and I’m so glad you’re here. If you love crafting, creative printables, SVG cut files, and fun DIY projects, you’ve come to the right place.
This is a space designed to spark creativity and make everyday moments more meaningful. My goal is to inspire you with fun projects, simple tutorials, and ready-to-use designs that make it easy to create something special – whether you’re crafting for yourself, your family, your classroom, or a gift.
You can’t use up creativity. The more you have, the more you use.
The heart of this blog is centered around delicious recipes that you will want to make again and again, craft projects that will bring you joy, and freebies that will add a pop of fun to your days. I love teaching and realize that my blog is an extension to that.

A Little About Me
- I’m a proud boy mom to two sons who keep me busy and laughing every single day.
- I started Kara Creates in 2009 to help pass the time while my hubby was deployed.
- My husband just retired from the U.S. Navy. We lived in Virginia Beach for 22 years and recently moved home to Maryland.
- I’m a middle school ELA teacher. I currently teach 7th and 8th grade and I have the best students.
- I love listening to true crime podcasts and watching true crime documentaries.
- A perfect afternoon for me is getting coffee from Starbucks and shopping at Target and Home Goods.
