Looking for a fun new keychain for your keys? Then, you need to make these DIY Wood Monogram and Beaded Keychains. Make just the monogram keychain, the beaded keychain, or both. Either way, your keys will look better and you’ll be proud to show off your new keychains. A quick, easy, and inexpensive craft project!
It’s no secret that I love an easy craft project especially when it included monograms! Today I have an easy tutorial for a monogrammed keychain using inexpensive wooden letters. These letters cost less than $1 making this an easy and inexpensive craft project. I then decided that my monogram keychain needed something to go with it so I made cute beaded keychains using wood beads. To make it extra cute, I added a tassel because tassels make everything better.
Want to make your own Wood Monogram and Beaded Keychains? Here’s what you’ll need:
- Wooden Letters
- Wood Beads
- Large Jump Rings
- Small Jump Rings
- Paint in assorted colors
- Paint Brushes
- Leather Cording
- Drill with small drill bit
- Keyring Lobsters
- Tassels (optional)
Step 1: Drill small hole in top of letter. Paint letter and beads different colors.
Step 2: Once the paint dries, thread leather cording around keyring and thread beads onto cording. Tie knot at end.
Step 3: Add large jump ring to wooden letter and add to keyring.
Step 4: Add tassel to keyring.
That’s it. I think the hardest part was choosing what color to paint my beads and letters.
A fun craft project that takes less than 15 minutes to make – not including the time it takes for the paint to dry. I think this is a great craft project for both kids and adults because everyone needs a Wood Monogram and Beaded Keychain. And, don’t forget the tassels!
