Today’s project is gold, glittery, and pink – three of my favorite things!

I can tell you one thing about teachers – we love clipboards; especially during the first week of school. Now that I think about it, I don’t think I ever put my clipboard down the first week of school as I try to learn all my student’s names. You gotta have that seating chart ready and in your hand at all times. Then, I use it throughout the year for grades, student observations, lesson plans, and notes.
So I thought it would be fun to jazz up my boring clipboard with a little paint. I love anything that is personalized and everything is better with gold glitter so I added a glitter K and some washi tape.
This is the perfect back-to-school teacher gift. Add a pack of pens or some colorful markers and your child’s teacher will be super happy.
Materials:
- gold leafing and adhesive
- your favorite color paint
- painters tape
- gold glitter washi tape
- gold glitter letter
- spray sealer
Directions:
Step 1:Â Cover the silver clip with gold leafing following the directions on the package.
Step 2: Tape off a diagonal line on your clipboard using the painter’s tape. Paint half of the clipboard.
Step 3:Â Add washi tape above painted line.
Step 4:Â Add gold glitter letter.
Step 5:Â Spray clipboard with sealer.
Step 6:Â Repeat steps 2-4 on back of clipboard.
This is a super easy project that anyone can do – I promise!
I can’t wait to make one for Connor’s teacher. I’m pretty sure every teacher needs a pretty, glittery clipboard.
These are so darling! I love this idea!
What type of paint did you use on the clipboard?
