Summer days call for fun outdoor activities the entire family can enjoy! The days are longer which means we can spend more time outside together as a family having fun.
During these warm summer months we love to spend time outside together. We either sit on our deck or we sit out front with all the neighbors while the kids run wild.
Today I’m sharing a few of my favorite outdoor activities that we love to play together now that the weather is nice.
All of these activities are easy to play and so much fun!
Fun Outdoor Activities for the whole family
Outdoor Tic Tac Toe
I recently stumbled across this idea from Chicken Scratch NY and knew I had to make it for Connor.
I painted the rocks and created the board on a piece of wood I found at Michaels. We’ve had so much fun playing this together. And I love watching Connor’s face every time he beats his daddy.
Glow-in-the-Dark Ring Toss
Ok my friends, It doesn’t get any better than this! Glow-in-the-Dark Ring Toss is AWESOME!! I’ve been stocking up on glow sticks every chance I get so we can play this as often as we can.
Flashlight Hide and Seek
This is another great game to play. We break up into teams of two or three and play with a big group of people who all live on our street. We have a blast every time we play and it is more fun to jump out and scare people:)
Nothing says summer like a water balloon fight!
Connor and his friends love to have water balloon fights.
My hubby usually gets out there and soaks them all before they can even throw their balloons which means they really just run around with balloons in their hands. Either way – they have a blast.
Nature Scavenger Hunt
I created a fun scavenger hunt that we can play together this summer when we go on walks or when we are bored and need something to do. Download yours HERE.
Family Game Night
One of my favorite things to do together is Family Game Night. I LOVE sitting outside and playing games with my two favorite people.
I found this genius idea on Pinterest and had to share it because it’s perfect for small hands. All you do is take a pool noodle, cut off about 10 inches and cut it down the center so it will lay flat on the table. Then cut it down the center again but only about halfway. Now children have a place to set their cards instead of having to try and hold them all. This makes playing games so much easier.
