One of my favorite Christmas traditions is sitting down with Connor while he writes out his Christmas list and this year he needed to send an Official Letter to Santa Claus. I love the way this letter turned out and I’m excited to offer it as a free printable on HGL.
Now Connor has an official letter he can fill out and put in the mail so Santa Claus knows exactly what he needs and wants for Christmas. We started the Want, Need, Wear, Read Gift Giving Rule last year and it’s definitely the best idea ever! Both of our boys need nothing and I was sick of buying gifts just because it was Christmas. Now, they each get four gifts to open along with what is in their stocking.

And, I did a little research and found the coolest thing. Thanks to the USPS, Santa will reply to your child’s Santa letter complete with the North Pole Postmark.
Here’s how it works:
-
- Have your child write a letter to Santa and place it in an envelope addressed to: Santa Claus, North Pole.
- Write a personalized response to your child’s letter and sign it “From Santa.”
- Place both letters into an envelope, and address it to the child. Add the return address: SANTA, NORTH POLE, to the envelope and make sure a stamp is affixed to the envelope.
- Place the complete envelope into a larger envelope, with postage, and address it to:
NORTH POLE POSTMARK POSTMASTER
4141 POSTMARK DR
ANCHORAGE AK 99530-9998
Letters from Santa must be received by the Anchorage, AK, Postmaster no later than December 15. Santa’s helpers in Anchorage, AK, will take care of the rest! Be sure to share the experience on social media using #LettersFromSanta.
Now it’s time to start decorating the house for Christmas. What are some of your favorite Christmas traditions?
