I have been looking everywhere for fast, easy, and healthy breakfast recipes that I could make ahead of time.

Mornings are pretty hectic for us.  My husband leaves by 5:30 and I leave the house around 6:45 to drop Connor off at preschool and get myself to school before my lovely students enter the building.

So, as soon as I came across this pin for Overnight, No-cook Refrigerator Oatmeal by The Yummy Life, I immediately had to make it.

I decided to make Nutella Banana Make-ahead, No-cook refrigerator Oatmeal:

  • 1/4 cup uncooked old fashioned oats
  • 1/4 cup skim milk
  • 1/4 cup low fat yogurt
  • Half a banana – cut up
  • 1 large spoonful of nutella

Add all ingredients to your jars. Put the lid on the jar and shake it up.  Place in the refrigerator over night and enjoy!

I’m so happy that I can quickly grab this out of the refrigerator in the morning, I don’t have to worry about heating anything up and it’s healthy.

We all tried it and loved it!!

I also made the Apple Cinnamon Refrigerator Oatmeal adapted from The Yummy Life.
  • 1/4 cup uncooked old fashioned oats
  • 1/4 cup skim milk
  • 1/4 cup low fat yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 3 large spoonfuls of chunky applesauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

It doesn’t get much easier than this! I’m so happy that I finally found a healthy breakfast that I can quickly grab on my way out the door in the morning!!  Plus, everything seems to taste better when it is served in these cute jars.

Do you have a great tasting recipe for make-ahead, no bake oatmeal? Please share your favorite flavor combos with me.
