I came across this personalized art idea at Under the Table and Dreaming and had to immediately make it for myself. Â I used pictures from Leo Reynold’s collection to create my personal family print. Â It only took an hour and most of that time was spent looking through all the different pictures available.
This is what I created:
I opened a PowerPoint presentation and set the page settings to be 8 x 8. Â If your name is longer you will probably want your page set to 8 x 10. Â Then I inserted the letters, numbers, and shapes into the slide. Â I saved it as a PDF so I can take it and have it printed out. Â I’ll post pictures of it framed this evening.
I also found this great website called Big Huge Labs where you can make your own mosaic art with personal photos and photos found online.  I think my next project will be a mosaic art print of Connor’s first and second year.  You can also make puzzles and other fun products of pictures.  Check it out if you get a chance.
Please share your personal mosaic art. Â Leave a comment and link back to your blog. Â I’d love to take a look.
I’m so glad I saw this! I’ve been collecting pictures from that photostream and never came back to it. I did it super quick on Big Huge Labs. Now to get it printed and hung! Thanks so much.
I love it and made a similar one –
