First, download and print one or both of these Dear Santa placemats. This is a free download that is available below. Next grab the colored pencils or markers and color the placemat. At the bottom your child or children can write their name. You can even sign it from the whole family.

Once your child has finished coloring the placemat, there are spaces to place a glass of milk, some of your favorite cookies, since we all know Santa is hungry and thirsty after a long night of delivering presents, and a few treats for Santa’s reindeer.

The best thing about this printable placemat for Santa is you can print out a new one every year. You can also create a fun Christmas keepsake by laminating your child’s placemat and use it every year on Christmas Eve.

Tips for Printing Printables So They Always Look Fantastic!

After downloading and saving the free printable, it’s time to print our printable. Here are five tips you can use to help your printouts look their best.

Invest in a good printer – I have an Epson Expression Home XP-4100 Wireless Color Printer that I currently use to print my printables and I’m very happy with it.

Choose the right paper – The best way to print printables is on white cardstock. When I’ve tried to print on regular printer paper I found that the ink causes the paper to wrinkle a little especially if the printable requires a lot of ink.

Use a paper trimmer – I recommend using a paper trimmer to cut out these cute little gift tags. It makes it so much easier to cut everything straight.

Use a professional printing service – I also recommend using a professional printing service to get the best quality. I go to Office Depot or Staples a lot to print my printables. I’ve also used Shutterfly and Walgreens to print large printables. Most printables use a lot of ink so it may even save you money to get them professionally printed.
