Cheesy Pull-Apart Garlic Bread

My mother-in-law makes lasagna every year for Christmas and I’m in charge of bringing the garlic bread.  This is always such a huge hit that I now have to bring two loaves to dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 large loaf of bread
  • 3/4 cup of butter 1 1/2 sticks, melted
  • 2 cups shredded cheese - I used 1 cup mozzarella and 1 cup cheddar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 2 teaspoons fresh minced garlic
  • Fresh parsley for garnish optional

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Line baking pan with aluminum foil. Place bread on foil. Use a bread knife to cut diagonal cuts down the top of the bread. Do not cut all the way through the bread.
  • Stir garlic salt and minced garlic in melted butter. Drizzle garlic butter between the cracks in the bread.
  • Stuff cheese down into the cracks of the bread.
  • Wrap in aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. Unwrap foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
  • Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.

  1. That cheesy pull apart bread looks scrumptious. It also isn’t as hard to make as I had originally thought. I’ll be sure to make it the next time I cook a big batch of pasta.

  2. This looks delicious and is seriously the perfect side dish for any Italian recipe. Thanks so very much for sharing…. I will be making this with my next batch of Baked Ziti! Fabulous recipe idea and looks so cool too 🙂
