Cheesy Pull-Apart Garlic Bread

My mother-in-law makes lasagna every year for Christmas and I’m in charge of bringing the garlic bread.  This is always such a huge hit that I now have to bring two loaves to dinner.

  • Author: Kara

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large loaf of bread
  • 3/4 cup of butter (1 1/2 sticks), melted
  • 2 cups shredded cheese – I used 1 cup mozzarella and 1 cup cheddar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 2 teaspoons fresh minced garlic
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Line baking pan with aluminum foil. Place bread on foil. Use a bread knife to cut diagonal cuts down the top of the bread. Do not cut all the way through the bread.
  3. Stir garlic salt and minced garlic in melted butter. Drizzle garlic butter between the cracks in the bread.
  4. Stuff cheese down into the cracks of the bread.
  5. Wrap in aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. Unwrap foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.

  1. That cheesy pull apart bread looks scrumptious. It also isn’t as hard to make as I had originally thought. I’ll be sure to make it the next time I cook a big batch of pasta.

  2. This looks delicious and is seriously the perfect side dish for any Italian recipe. Thanks so very much for sharing…. I will be making this with my next batch of Baked Ziti! Fabulous recipe idea and looks so cool too 🙂
