I’m working on a plate wall in my kitchen and as soon as I saw these chalkboard plates on Pinterest I knew I had to make them.
The hardest part was finding a plate or platter that was the size I wanted because I wanted it to be larger than a dinner plate.
After looking around for a large white platter, I finally decided to buy this charger from Pier 1 and paint it.
I sanded it, primed it, and then painted it white. Â When that was all dry, I painted the center with chalkboard paint.
Another quick and easy project inspired by Pinterest. Â Oh, how I love Pinterest!!
Your plate is looking good. I started a similar project tonight. Gotta love pinterest.

Love the plates! I was thinking of doing a similar project with some silver trays (not good silver..lol). I have never linked up, not sure I know how but I think I will try. Thanks!
