I’m a little obsessed with giving gifts in a jar so I thought it would be fun to make Connor’s teacher a cute, little gift in a mason jar to show how much we appreciate her.
Now I know teachers are thankful for any gift they gift. Trust me – I teach middle school and I’m happy with pencils, highlighters, candy, ANYTHING!! Sometimes I just want to hear “thank you” or “you are fabulous!”
But I’m also all about practical gifts. When it comes time for teacher gifts, I always go with a gift card – Even if it’s just a $5 Starbucks gift card. I feel like you can’t go wrong with a gift card.
I’ve also become obsessed with adding stickers to chocolate (if you couldn’t tell yet). So when I found these stickers at The Dollar Store, I decided to stick them on Hershey kisses and Hershey Nuggets. Then I put them in a jar and added a Target Gift Card. Teachers are always telling their students what a great job they are doing so these stickers were the perfect way for Connor’s teacher to hear how great she is too.
Now whenever Connor’s teacher takes a piece of candy out of the jar, she will be reminded that she is doing a great job too!
I also thought the jar needed a cute gift tag. What’s better than receiving an award for being a star teacher?! I thought a little teacher award would be perfect. I used Picmonkey to make the award and personalize it. Then Connor wrote what the award was for and signed his name.

I’ve created a free download for you to use if you want to give your child’s teacher an award for being a STAR.   It is meant to be used as a gift tag so I put a few on one sheet.
The best part about this project is it takes less than 15 minutes to put together. Connor helped me put the stickers on the candy. Then drop the candy and gift card in a jar, put the lid on, add the gift tag and your teacher gift is all ready.
It’s Craft Lightning time so make sure you check out all the other Teacher Appreciation gifts that can be made in 15 minutes or less.
You know I love this one!!

I love giving gifts in jars, too! And this is such a fun printable!
Love this – thank you!! Doing-too-much mom brain…I totally forgot today was the last day of school until I dropped the kids off…and I missed my hair appointment…and…and…we skipped the stickers and used the tags!! I found super-cute treat boxes and attached the tags like a flag – they turned out awesome. You saved the day!! All the teachers loved the gifts…and lots of compliments from parents. One dad was hoping they were for the kids and was very disappointed when his wife told him I had made them for the teachers – LOL.
