The holidays are right around the corner and that means we will be traveling to Maryland for Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Since we will be spending a lot of time in the car, I thought it would be fun to put together a Road Trip Kit for Connor to have in the car.

I wanted something that would occupy him for the 4 hour trip.  First, I went around the house a collected items we already had like pencils, a notebook, and books.

And for this project, I decided to work smarter not harder so I turned to Pinterest to find some awesome road trip printables.  Why make them when there are so many fabulous ones out there already?  I even created a Pinterest board just for all the fabulous road trip ideas I discovered.  I printed out these free printables: Road Trip Tic Tac Toe, Hangman, License Plate, and I Spy Game and I plan on printing out even more.

I printed out the printables and laminated them with self-sealing laminating sheets.  I included a clipboard and dry erase markers in the basket.  The clipboard allows Connor to write on the printables and the laminated surface turns the printables into dry erase activities.  The best part about the laminated surface is they can be used over and over again.  I then added a pack of Huggies Clutch n’ Clean Wipes to the basket so Connor can easily wipe off the activity sheets.

Now we are all ready for our road trip to Maryland!  I can add new books and activity sheets to the basket but I will always keep a pack of the Huggies Clutch n’ Clean Wipes in there.

I should also tell you all that I’m totally obsessed with baby wipes.  And you can ask all my friends – I swear by them.  They clean everything.  I’ve used them to get stains out of clothes and upholstery.  They work great for cleaning up everything!  I especially love that Huggies Clutch n’ Clean wipes are dermatologically tested, mom approved and the #1 branded choice of moms.

  • Use them to clean your hands after pumping gas
  • Use to blot up stains on clothing, upholstery and carpeting
  • Clean your windshield with them

  • Clean your tablet screen and portable DVD player screen
  • Use after visiting rest stops
  • Removes dust from vents in your car
  • Removes mud and sand from floor mats of car
  • Clean out the cup holders and place inside to keep them clean from future spills

I could go on and on but I think you get the point.  Just stock up on these fun Huggies Clutch n’ Clean Wipes so your prepared the next time you hit the road.  They’ll definitely come in handy, even if your just driving around running errands.  So make sure you pick up a few packs the next time your out shopping.  I found mine at CVS.

  1. Great idea! We do not travel much with our kids, but I think even a small one would be great for our short drives to grandmas. [client]
