Connor’s birthday is coming up and we started thinking about fun birthday party ideas. I wanted something easy and Connor wanted something that he hadn’t done before. After going back and forth with different ideas, Connor mentioned having his birthday party at Home Depot. We are huge fans of the Kids Workshops at our local Home Depot and we love to go the first Saturday of every month to build something fun together.
Then guess what I discovered?
We can host a Kid’s Workshop at our house. How awesome is that?! And ordering the kits is easy and convenient.
The Kids Workshop Birthday Party Kit comes with plates, napkins, cups, utensils, placemats, hard hats, balloons, and a table cover. Each kit contains enough for 6 kids. Then you can choose to build a birdhouse, tool box, butterfly house or a bug house. I chose the birdhouses because I feel like every kid needs a birdhouse in their backyard.
Set out some hammers, paint, and paint brushes and you’re ready to party!
We made our sample birdhouse last week and it turned out super cute.
Now I can’t wait for Connor’s friends to come over in a few weeks to get our build on! I’m not sure who’s more excited – me or Connor.
And you can’t have a birthday party without invitations. I whipped up these bad boys last weekend and now you can print them out too for free.  I’ve included a fill-in-the-blank invitation and a blank invitation that you can easily personalize using Microsoft Word. Upload image to a word document and add a text box with all your birthday details.
This is my kind of party planning.
I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend! It’s time for us to get our build on and party!!

How did you end up liking this party? I’ve been thinking about this but wasn’t sure how to manage helping multiple kids build a craft.
