Materials Needed to Make Cake Toppers

• Cricut Cutting Machine (such as Cricut Explore or Cricut Maker)
• Cricut Design Space
• Cardstock
• Wooden skewers or Food-safe Dowels
• Adhesive (such as glue or double-sided tape)

How to Make Cake Toppers with Your Cricut

1. Download the free cut file and upload the design to Cricut Design Space.
2. Ensure that your design is sized appropriately for your cake and that it fits within the cutting dimensions of your Cricut machine.
3. Add cardstock to the cutting mat.
4. Load the cutting mat into your Cricut machine and follow the prompts on the screen to select the material type and adjust settings as needed.
5. Once everything is set up, press the “Go” or “Cut” button and let your Cricut work its magic.
6. To assemble your cake topper, carefully remove the design from the cutting mat, ensuring not to damage delicate elements.
7. Turn your design over and apply adhesive to the back.
8. Attach the wooden skewers or food-safe dowels to the back of your design, leaving enough length to insert into the cake securely. Press down firmly to ensure they are securely attached.
9. Once your cake topper is dry and ready, carefully insert the skewers or dowels into the top of your cake. Place it securely in the desired position, ensuring it stands upright.
10. Step back and admire your hardwork! Your custom-made cake topper adds a special touch to your celebration. Enjoy the moment and celebrate with your loved ones!
