I’m so excited about the project I’m sharing with you all today. I don’t really decorate my house for Valentine’s Day but after taking all my Christmas decoration down, I decided I wanted something on our fireplace mantel. Plus it’s #MyFavoriteBloggers day so it makes it even more exciting!
For some reason I was thinking burlap and glitter. Can you go wrong with glitter?
I gathered my supplies:
- burlap
- pennant template (download HERE)
- scissors
- white paint
- red paint
- paint brush
- red glitter
- jute
- heart template
- glue gun
Then I got to work making my banner:
Step 1: First I cut out each pennant from burlap using the template I create. (Print HERE)
Step 2: Then I painted each one white.
Step 3: Trace a heart on each pennant and then paint each heart red.
Step 4: Spread glue over each heart and add glitter. Once the glue dries, shake access glitter off.
Step 5:Â Warp each pennant around jute and attach using your glue gun.
Step 6:Â Hang and admire your gorgeous banner.
I just love when a project turns out exactly like I was hoping it would and it didn’t take long at all to make. The longest part was waiting for the glue to dry.
A few of my favorite bloggers are also sharing heart-shaped projects. I’d love for you to go and check out all of the wonderful Valentine’s Crafts that my friends created!
