How to Set Up A July 4th Scavenger Hunt
- Download the 4th of July scavenger hunt sheets – link to download is at the bottom of this post.
- Print out the scavenger hunt cards and cut them out. You can print everything on regular paper or cardstock.
- Print out a scorecard for each player.
- Hide the numbered cards around the house. It’s so simple to set up that even the kids can be in charge of hiding their opponent’s cards.
How to Play this Independence Day Scavenger Hunt
We have a few different ways to play this game depending on the number of players playing the game and the ages of the players.
How to Play with One Player
Print out the printable page of 4th of July image cards, cut them out, and hide them around the house. The person playing must find each card. Set a timer to make the game a little more difficult. Hide 6 cards, 12 cards, or 18 cards.
How to Play with Multiple Players
Print out the cards and a scorecard for each player playing. Hide the cards around the house. Once the cards are hidden, players search for the hidden cards and check them off their scorecard as they find the them.
Another way to play this fun game with multiple players is to hide one set of cards for every person playing. For example, if you have five players, hide 5 sets of scavenger hunt cards. Players can race to see who can find their set first.
How to Simplify This Game for Younger Kids
If you want to simplify this game for younger kids, hide six cards or 12 game cards instead of all 18 and send all the kids out together to find them. Players can also pair up or work in small groups when hunting.
