This is a famous recipe in our family! And, if you come to a cookout at my parent’s house, you’ll most likely get a glass of bourbon slush. It’s pretty much a staple at every party and I’ll tell you one thing – there is never any left at the end of the night.
Ingredients Needed to Make Bourbon Slush
Another easy cocktail recipe that only calls for a few simple ingredients including one kind of alcohol.
- Tea bags
- Water
- Sugar
- 1 can of frozen orange juice concentrate
- 1 can of frozen lemonade concentrate
- Bourbon
How to Make the Best Bourbon Slush
Start by boiling 2 cups of water. Steep tea bags in boiling water for 3 minutes. Remove tea bags and stir in sugar. Add tea, orange juice, lemonade, bourbon and additional water to large container with lid. Stir until well combined and freeze.
That’s it! Then you just wait for it to freeze and it’s ready to serve. But, I’ll warn you now. This slush will go fast! We keep a few containers in our freezer at all times for cookouts and get-togethers.

- 4 tea bags
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1 cup sugar
- 7 cups water
- 1 (12 ounces) can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
- 1 (12 ounces) can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
- 2 1/2 cups bourbon
Instructions
- Steep tea in boiling water for 3 minutes.
- Remove tea bags from boiling water and stir in sugar.
- Add tea, additional water, orange juice, lemonade, and bourbon to large container with lid. Mix well and freeze.
