Baked Italian Sub Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 1/3 cup Italian dressing
  • 12 slices sandwich sized pepperoni
  • 12 ounces turkey
  • 12 slices provolone cheese 
  • red onion sliced
  • 1/2 cup sweet and hot salad peppers 
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon garlic salt

Instructions

  • Set aside a 9x13 baking dish and preheat oven to 350°.
  • Slice the rolls on the side but do not cut all the way through, cut until you almost get to the other side.
  • Brush the Italian dressing on the inside of the bottom and top bun.
  • Place 3 slices of pepperoni on the bottom bun.
  • Fold and place 4-5 slices of turkey on top of the pepperoni.
  • Fold and place 3 slices of provolone cheese on top of the turkey.
  • Add red onion and add some of the sweet and hot salad peppers to each sandwich.
  • Sprinkle the pepper, salt and oregano over each sandwich and close the buns.
  • Place each sandwich in the baking dish.
  • In a microwave safe bowl add the butter and garlic salt. Microwave until the butter is melted. Brush the garlic butter mixture on the top of each bun. 
  • Add baking dish to oven and bake for 20 minutes
  • Serve and enjoy!
