The Best Chocolate Mint Bars

Ingredients

Chocolate Bars

  • 4 packs unsweetened chocolate 4 ounces
  • 2 sticks of butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. peppermint
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Mint Frosting:

  • 6 tablespoons melted butter
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 2 teaspoons mint extract
  • green food coloring
  • Chocolate sprinkles

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Grease 9x13 pan or line with parchment paper.
  • Melt chocolate and butter together in sauce pan over low-medium heat. Set a side to cool.
  • In a medium bowl, beat eggs until frothy. Stir in sugar and chocolate mixture.  Add mint extract, flour and salt.  Stir to combine.
  • Pour into 9x13 baking pan and bake for 25 minutes.  Once done, let cool before adding frosting.

To Make Frosting

  • Combine melted butter, powdered sugar, milk, mint extract, and green food coloring in medium bowl. Use a hand mixer to beat ingredients together until smooth.
  • Spread over bars immediately.  Frosting will harden quickly.
  • Sprinkle chocolate sprinkles over frosting.
