Summer is sadly coming to an end so I thought I would share a few End of Summer Tips and Tricks. Most of these are great tips for the entire summer but they seem to be especially useful as we head into fall.
First, I needed a great way to wash our bathing suits before I put them away for the summer and found this awesome tip. Mix 1/2 cup baking soda in a gallon of water and soak bathing suits for 1-2 hours, then rinse well, and dry. This will remove chlorine, sunscreen, and other build up.
Bug bites itching you? Apply toothpaste to stop the itching. You can also apply a lemon slice or rub the area with the inside of a banana peel. I wish I would have known this tip sooner.
Is your grill disgusting after using it all summer long? Don’t stress! Clean it in a snap with aluminum foil.
Or, grab an onion. Love this!!
Is your hair dry and looking frizzy from all the summer fun you’ve had at the beach and pool? Make your own Coconut Hair Conditioner Spray with rose water, coconut oil and lavender essential oil.
This is another great tip that I wish I would have known sooner – use cupcake liners to cover your drinks from those pesky bugs. Now we can all celebrate the holiday weekend with bug free drinks:)
What are some of your favorite tips and tricks for this time of year?
