Need an easy Fourth of July wreath? You’ll love this Patriotic Burlap Bubble Wreath I made over the weekend. And remember – if I can do it, you can do it!
I just realized that the Fourth of July is next week. This summer is already going by way too fast! I feel like school just ended. I hope things slow down so we can just sit back, relax, and enjoy our summer.
I pulled out all of my red, white, and blue stuff over the weekend and decided I needed a new Fourth of July wreath. I saw a flag burlap wreath a few years ago that I loved but I couldn’t find the blue star burlap anywhere.
So, what do you do when you can’t find what you need when you want to work on a craft project? You just make it yourself.
I found the red striped burlap ribbon at Hobby Lobby so that was easy. I then bought a roll of blue burlap ribbon and stamped white stars on the ribbon. I made my own star stamp with a foam sheet I had and a wine cork. The star was about 2 inches wide.
Want to make one this week? It will look great on your door for the holiday weekend and all month long. I might keep it up on my door all summer.
Supplies needed:
- 18 inch wire wreath
- wreath wire
- red striped burlap wired ribbon
- blue burlap wired ribbon
- white paint
- star stamp
Directions:
- Stamp stars on the blue ribbon using the white paint. Let dry.
- Weave red striped ribbon through wire wreath. Push burlap through the openings to form bubbles. Secure each row using wire. Continue until 3/4 of the wire wreath is covered.
- Repeat with blue burlap ribbon covering 1/4 of the wreath.
Don’t worry – it goes by fast. Hubby and I were watching a movie and I was finished my wreath way before the movie was over.
I just love the way it turned out!
And it looks like all the ribbon is on sale right now so you can make this wreath for less than $20.
So what are you waiting for? It’s time to get your craft on. Grab your supplies, pour a glass of wine, put a movie on Netflix and start making your Patriotic Burlap Bubble Wreath!
