We are currently in California for a family wedding and I was searching for packing tips and tricks last week. I found so many fantastic ideas that I just had to share them with all of you.  Some of these really made me think – why didn’t I think of that!

Packing a flat iron with a pot holder

Use pot holder to pack flat iron – OMG!  This is the best idea ever!!

Pack outfits in ziplock bags.  This is such a great idea when packing for kids.

Use plastic wrap to spill-proof shampoo, conditioner, and other liquid toiletries.

Use an old sunglasses case or even a pencil case to hold charging cords when traveling.

Pack your camera in a soap container.  I wish I would have found this tip sooner because my camera is all scratched up from throwing it in my purse.

Pack a dryer sheet in your suitcase.

Pack a pillowcase to store dirty clothes in.  Then when you get home, all you have to do is throw everything including the pillowcase in the washing machine.

And if you’re flying, this is an awesome travel tip!  Pack a ziplock bag so you can watch your smart phone on the plane.

Also, take pictures of your luggage if you’re flying just in case your luggage gets lost.
