Looking for a fun Halloween party mix that everyone will love?  Well, look no further.  This Halloween Muddy Buddies Party Mix is delicious and easy to make.  I promise – it won’t last long!

First, do you call it muddy buddies or puppy chow because I see it called both.

Well, that isn’t really important because it’s delicious no matter what you call it.  I’m just mad at myself for not making this stuff sooner.

I can’t stop eating it!  The other morning I ate it for breakfast with my coffee and I didn’t feel guilty about it at all.  It is cereal right?:)

Not only is it easy to make but guess what?  You get a little arm workout while making it.  So now I can work out while making a fun sweet treat – Woohoo!  This is how I like to work out.

And it’s the perfect party mix.  I made a batch for Halloween and I’m going to be making a batch for every holiday.  How fun would this be for Christmas and 4th of July?

Halloween Muddy Buddy Snack Mix

Ingredients
  

  • 9 cups Chex cereal
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup Reese's pieces or Halloween M&M's

Instructions
 

  • Add cereal to large bowl.
  • Microwave chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter uncovered on high for 1 minute in microwaveable bowl. Stir and continue to microwave in 30 second increments longer until mixture can be stirred smooth. Stir in vanilla.
  • Pour mixture over cereal and stir until evenly coated. Add mixture to 2-gallon resealable food-storage plastic bag.
  • Add powdered sugar. Seal bag and shake until well coated.
  • Spread on waxed paper to cool. Sprinkle candy over mix.
  • Store in airtight container in refrigerator.

The recipe says to store in an airtight container but this Halloween Muddy Buddies Party Mix won’t last long enough to need a plastic container.
