Have you heard of the Share Your Ears movement? I just found out about this awesome initiative and I’m excited to share it with all of you!
What is the #ShareYourEars Campaign?
To honor the 130,000th Disney wish granted globally and in celebration of 90 years of Mickey Mouse, Disney is inviting fans to Share Your Ears to help make life-changing wishes come true for children with critical illnesses.
How can you help make a difference?
Between now and November 27, 2018, simply take a photo showing off your “Mickey Mouse ears” – or any creative “ears” and upload it to Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. This can be a picture of you and your family wearing your ears while visiting Disneyland or Disney World or this can be a picture of ears you make at home. It’s time to get creative and have fun!
What happens next?
For every public photo posted with #ShareYourEars, Disney will donate US $5 to Make-A-Wish® (up to US $1 million) to grant even more wishes. This is all part of the Disney Team of Heroes commitment to deliver comfort and inspiration to families around the world.
How great is that? All you have to do is upload your picture, make sure your post is public, and use the hashtag #ShareYourEars. It’s that easy to help make a difference this holiday season.
I love that we can make a difference, help a great organization, and have fun!
So, get ready – and get creative! Don’t have ears? Then, it’s time to get crafty. Pull out those craft supplies and have fun. Make them simple or fancy; artistic or wacky. Then put them on and join your favorite heroes, celebrities and athletes in helping make wishes come true!
Don’t Just Fly, Soar!
And, I thought it would be fun to create a free printable in honor of the #ShareYourEars campaign.
Dumbo says it best – “Don’t just fly, SOAR!”
I’ve created three watercolor versions – black, turquoise, and purple. Feel free to email me or leave a comment if you would like a custom color for this fabulous free printable. I’d be happy to add it to the collection.
And, don’t forget to join Disney in celebrating 90 years of Mickey Mouse by Sharing Your Ears!
