Valentine's Day PayDay Bars
Valentine's Day PayDay Bars - A chewy crust topped with marshmallows, peanuts, M&M's and more. These festive cookies bars are the perfect Valentine's Day treat!
Ingredients
- 1 stick of butter softened
- 1 package of yellow cake mix
- 1 egg
- 3 cups of miniature marshmallows
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 cups rice cereal
- 2 cups salted peanuts
- 1 cup M&M's
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix butter and cake mix in large bowl. Add egg and continue mixing.
- Spread dough into 9x13 baking pan and bake for 12-15 minutes. Remove from oven and add marshmallows to top of crust. Place back in oven for 3 minutes.
- Combine corn syrup, sugar, and brown sugar to saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring until it starts to boil (about 3-4 minutes). Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter and vanilla. Stir in cereal and peanuts. Spoon over marshmallows and spread evenly. Sprinkle M&M's over peanut butter cereal mixture.
- Let bars cool completely before cutting.
- Cut into squares and enjoy!
