New Year’s Hot Bean and Cheese Dip – A quick and cheesy appetizer made with cream cheese, salsa, black beans, with black-eyed peas for good luck.

- 1 8 ounce block cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup salsa
- 1 15 ounce can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 8 ounce can corn, drained
- 1/2 can black-eyed peas drained
- 2 cups shredded cheese
- 1 tomato chopped
- 2 green onions chopped
- Tortilla chips for serving
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In an oven safe dish, spread cream cheese into a thin layer.
Spread salsa over cream cheese.
Sprinkle half cup of cheese over salsa.
Add black beans, corn, and black-eyed peas over cheese.
Bake for 15 minutes.
Remove from oven and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake for 5-7 minutes or until cheese has melted.
Sprinkle with tomatoes and green onions.
Serve warm with tortilla chips.
