The Best Chocolate Mint Bars

If you love the combination of mint and chocolate, you are going to love these Chocolate Mint Bars!  A delicious dessert perfect for holidays, family gatherings, and more.




Chocolate Bars

  • 4 packs unsweetened chocolate (4 ounces)
  • 2 sticks of butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. peppermint
  • 1 cup flour
  •  1/2 teaspoon salt

Mint Frosting:

  • 6 tablespoons melted butter
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 2 teaspoons mint extract
  • green food coloring
  • Chocolate sprinkles


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Grease 9×13 pan or line with parchment paper.
  2. Melt chocolate and butter together in sauce pan over low-medium heat. Set a side to cool.
  3. In a medium bowl, beat eggs until frothy. Stir in sugar and chocolate mixture.  Add mint extract, flour and salt.  Stir to combine.
  4. Pour into 9×13 baking pan and bake for 25 minutes.  Once done, let cool before adding frosting.
  5. To Make Frosting: Combine melted butter, powdered sugar, milk, mint extract, and green food coloring in medium bowl. Use a hand mixer to beat ingredients together until smooth.
  6. Spread over bars immediately.  Frosting will harden quickly.
  7. Sprinkle chocolate sprinkles over frosting.
