New Year's Bean and Cheese Dip

New Year’s Hot Bean and Cheese Dip – A quick and cheesy appetizer made with cream cheese, salsa, black beans, with black-eyed peas for good luck.


  • 1 (8 ounce) block cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1 (15 ounce) can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 (8 ounce) can corn, drained
  • 1/2 can black-eyed peas, drained
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Tortilla chips for serving


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In an oven safe dish, spread cream cheese into a thin layer.
  3. Spread salsa over cream cheese.
  4. Sprinkle half cup of cheese over salsa.
  5. Add black beans, corn, and black-eyed peas over cheese.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake for 5-7 minutes or until cheese has melted.
  8. Sprinkle with tomatoes and green onions.
  9. Serve warm with tortilla chips.
