This easy tutorial for homemade body balm only calls for 3 ingredients and will leave your skin feeling soft and smooth.

Homemade Body Balm

I love making homemade lotions and this DIY body balm is definitely one of my favorites to make.  It’s quick, easy and great for moisturizing your skin.  There are so many benefits to using body balm especially if you have dry skin like I do. Use it on your hands, feet, lips and more! Body balm is different from lotion because the beeswax helps lock moisture in, leaving your skin soft and smooth.  I highly recommend putting it on your feet at night and then putting your socks on while you sleep.

You will definitely be obsessed after making this. You’re also going to be shocked at how easy it to make homemade body balm after today’s fun tutorial.

Supplies needed to make your own Body Balm:

Start by adding beeswax, cocoa butter and almond oil in the measuring cup. I used a knife to break up the cocoa butter a little before measuring it out.

Microwave for 1 minute. Stir the mixture with a spoon and microwave for an additional 30 seconds or until beeswax pellets have melted.

Pour liquid into small jars and let the mixture set for at least 2 hours. And, that’s it! I told you this was going to be easy.

Three steps, and about 5 minutes, are all it takes to make homemade body balm. Use a finger to apply to dry lips or scoop out with a small spoon and apply to dry skin. This DIY body balm is also a fantastic cuticle cream.

These cute little mason jars make this the perfect gift too. Make a few jars for yourself and give them out to all your favorite people. How awesome is that?!
