Gooey Butter Pumpkin Bars {The Best Pumpkin Bars!}

These Gooey Butter Pumpkin Bars are the easiest and softest cookie bars with just the right amount of pumpkin flavor in every bite! 


  • 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
  • 1 8oz. package cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 box spice cake mix
  • 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Line a 9 x 13 pan with parchment paper or spray with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In large bowl, cream butter and cream cheese together. Add egg and pumpkin puree and continue to beat.
  3. Add cake mix and pumpkin pie spice.  Mix until well combined.
  4. Stir in white chocolate chips.
  5. Press dough into prepared baking pan.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until edges are brown.
  7. Let cool for 10 minutes.  Sprinkle powdered sugar over entire pan of bars
  8. Cut into bars.


Store bars in airtight container.
